Glamping in Naples, Florida: A Unique Summer Adventure

I didn't know what I was getting myself into when I decided to go glamping in Naples, Florida. It was definitely an experience worth sharing. The area itself is beautiful and has a lot to offer, but glamping during the summer is not for the faint of heart, and not for the reasons you might think.

The Mosquitoes

First and foremost, the mosquitoes were really something else. They were relentless, and dealing with them was a challenge. This made me realize that the next time I go, it will be during the fall or winter. I'm sure I would enjoy being outside and creating a fire much more in cooler weather.

The Accommodation

One pleasant surprise was how well the air conditioning worked in our glamping tent. Considering we went in the middle of summer, this was a huge relief. The bathrooms, however, did not have air conditioning, which was less than ideal. Despite this, we managed to have a good time.

Exploring Naples

We also ventured off the glamping site, located in the Collier-Seminole State Park, to explore nearby attractions. We enjoyed some fantastic restaurants on 5th Avenue South, which offered a variety of dining options that added to our overall experience. For lunch, we dined at Sea Monkey, which had delicious and fresh seafood options. For dinner, we went to Nemo, where the atmosphere was delightful and the food was exquisite.

Activities

During our stay, we took advantage of the activities available to us. We spent time adventuring around and biking, which was a great way to see the area. If you wanted to, you could rent boats called Go Cats, kayaks, and canoes for some fun on the water. We also had some downtime where we watched Netflix and truly enjoyed the comfort of our tent. It really felt like a home away from home.

In conclusion, glamping in Naples, Florida, was a unique adventure. While the summer heat and mosquitoes were challenging, the comfort of the tent and the local attractions made the trip memorable. I look forward to returning in the cooler months to fully enjoy everything this experience has to offer.
